July 28, 2018 marks the day that Skills Johor had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with our exclusive northern partner; Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC) with the aim to reform Malaysia’s TVET industry through the development of skilled workforce.  As our expert industry advisor, PSDC will work closely with Skills Johor especially in joint projects that acknowledge TVET enhancements, skills diversity, and strengthening the employability and competitiveness of our local workforce.

For over a period of 29 years since 1989, PSDC had a proven record of training over 200,000 participants through more than 10,000 courses contributing directly to the Malaysian workforce transformation initiatives.  In the upcoming years, PSDC and Skills Johor will become the nation’s powerhouse for Industry 4.0 by providing the platform to learn the best practices as well as acquiring comprehensive talent development support.

As a continuous effort towards achieving our goals, we are looking to build a network of like-minded partners among industry sectors and agencies nationwide who share the same passion and unwavering commitment to grow and unlock exciting potentials of our local workforce. 


Skills Johor and Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 18 July 2018 witnessed by the YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yew, Chief Minister of Penang. Signing the MOU are Datuk Omar Shariff Mydeen - Executive Director of Skills Johor and Mr. Muhamed Ali Hajah Mydin, Chief Executive Officer of PSDC.
